Bill Anderson reported on his Facebook wall that fellow grand Ole Opry Star George Hamilton IV has suffered a heart attack.
The 77-year-old country singer, best-known for his 1963 crossover hit "Abilene" and numerous country hits including "Early Morning Rain" and "Break My Mind," is reported to be in a Nashville hospital tonight.
None of the sites, from Anderson's to the Grand Ole Opry's to various Nashville TV stations', have word on Hamilton's condition. Anderson did request prayers for his friend and the Hamilton family.
